Trauma Nursing Core Course
The Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), created by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), is designed to provide registered nurses with a systematic approach to delivering high-quality trauma care to any patient. Nurses who complete the course will be able to use evidence-based life-saving interventions to improve patient survivability and outcomes. Students will earn 19.5 continuing education credits. Provider Course
The TNCC Provider course is offered to registered nurses virtually. Licensed practical nurses and paramedics are eligible to attend all portions of the course and obtain CNE hours, but are not eligible for provider status verification. Students must complete Pre-Course online modules before attending the instructor-led portion of the course. Students can choose to attend a virtual 1-day renewal course or a 1.5-day Provider course. Mobile in-person courses* available upon request.
Non-RNs can audit the course, but will not receive a TNCC certification or continuing education credits.
Students who want to attend the refresher course MUST have a current TNCC 8th edition certification and will earn 13.75 continuing education credits.
The textbook is included in the price.
The certification is valid for four years. In-person classes coming soon!
Instructor Course
The virtual or in-person* mobile TNCC Instructor course is offered to registered nurses who have already completed the TNCC 9th Edition Provider course and obtained "Instructor Potential" status. Once the student completes the Instructor course, they will achieve "Instructor Candidate" status.
Instructor candidates will be required to teach a minimum of one skill station, one lecture, one TNP, and facilitate a test out during a 1.5/2-day Provider course within 12 months of completing the Instructor course before earning Instructor status.
Instructor Candidates will earn 7.25 continuing education credits.
